Second Floor Framing

The second floor is going up.

Framing, the First Floor

It's starting to look like a house!

 Master bedroom sitting area.
 Looking towards the master bathroom.
The living room windows on either side of the fireplace
Looking towards the entry way and the dining room.
Back of the house.
Front of the house.

This was taken at the entrance to our driveway. You can just see the house through the trees. The bottom photo shows the driveway on the right, coming off of Diascund View Trail. You can barely see the house - it’s that white spot to the left of the tree.

Framing photos

Here are some photos of the basement framing.

Me taking a picture of the window looking out to the back yard. There will eventually be a fireplace to the left of that window. There is a door to the left of the fireplace and another window to the left of that along that wall. The west wall will have a window and a french door so there will be a lot of light in this basement!
 Front of the house.

West side of the house. There will be a french door on this side.
East side of the house. The garage is to the left.

The very large back yard!

Framing

Framing has begun! The concrete basement slab in the foundation was poured yesterday, so Jose and crew were able to start framing out the basement and the load bearing walls today. The first floor cap should be on in the next couple of days. On Monday, Elaine and I went to Ferguson Enterprises in Richmond to work with Carrie on picking out the plumbing fixtures. What a lot of choices! Good thing I went to Ferguson online to make some pre-selections! I was slightly over budget but since I came under budget in the kitchen it will all work out. Carrie then sent me a pdf of all the choices I made, complete with photos! Thank you Carrie!

We’ll have photos of the framing soon. Pete accidentally deleted them from his phone before saving them to the computer. Oops!
The back of the house. The right side in the photo is now framed.
This shows how close our neighbors are to us.
